Why we measure ODS?
Measuring ODS can help to answer the following:
- How much is a machine moving?
- Where is it moving the most, and in what direction?
- What is the motion of one point relative to another?
- Is the resonance being exited? What does its mode shape look like?
- Is the structure born noise?
- Do corrective actions reduce noise or vibration levels?
